Nursery

 

The Nursery is open from 7:30am–6:00pm at the Old Auction House and 9:00am–3:00pm in the Pavilion for Pre-School children.

Pavilion
7:30am–9:00am  School children.
9:00am–3:00pm Pre-School – Sessional care 9:00am–12:00pm.
12:30pm–3:00pm. Then those staying after 3:00pm will return to the Old Auction House.
3:00pm–6:00pm School children.
The Pavilion is open all year for School children (excluding bank holidays and a week over Christmas and New Year).

Old Auction House
7:30am–5:30pm Pre-School children.
The younger children are walked to the Pavilion to start at 9:00am.
The Old Auction House is open all year for Pre-school children (excluding bank holidays and a week over Christmas and New Year).

Curriculum
The Nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage as prescribed by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA).

The curriculum is divided into seven areas:

Understanding of the World

Expressive Arts and Design Planning is tailored to each individual child. It is based on observing each child and then creating a plan to ensure they progress in all areas of their learning. The setting follows a play based curriculum and has a free flow environment enabling the children to make their own choices to play in or out doors and there are also adult led activities for children to participate in.
